The Muir PTSA is excited to offer a variety of after-school programs this spring, designed to help students learn, explore, and have fun.

Enrollment Process

Registration links for all classes will be posted to this website on March 19th at 7:30am and remain open until closed by vendors. 

    

Important dates:

March 9th: Chaperone and Financial Assistance Application availableClick here 

March 16th: Scholarship requests due by 3:30pm. Scholarships distributed via lottery if necessary and recipients notified by March 18th.

March 19th: General registration links available on this page at 7:30am. Technical assistance for families will be at a table at the front of the school 7:30am-8:30am for those in need of help to register. 

 

 

 Registration is not complete until payment is processed through a vendor registration link. 

 

Program Fees & Support Options

  • If your family needs financial assistance, you may request a scholarship on the Chaperone and Financial Assistance Application (link above) or please contact us at asp@muirptsa.org to discuss options.
  • Debit/Credit card is the preferred payment method for online registration. If you need to pay by cash or check, please reach out to asp@muirptsa.org as soon as possible to make arrangements.
  • Each session needs one volunteer chaperone. They often qualify for free tuition for their student based on the vendor for each program! To qualify, you must be an LWSD approved volunteer (Apply here) and a PTSA member (Join here).

Outdoor Soccer (Grades K-2)

Dates: Mar 30th - June 1st (no programming 4/13 and 5/25) 8 weeks | Mondays 3:15-4:15pm |

Fee: $170

Kick, dribble, and score! B&B Training Solutions Soccer After-School program is designed for kids to develop fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. Each session combines skill-building drills, friendly games, and fitness activities that keep kids active and engaged after school. Whether they’re new to the game or already have experience, our program helps young athletes grow their confidence, coordination, and love for soccer! Calendar

After School Enrichment Cooking Classes with Sticky Fingers Cooking®

It's THYME to TURNIP the BEET on what kids EAT! Our interactive classes make cooking fun and deliciously educational. Kids will enjoy tasty, healthy recipes while learning S.T.E.A.M., culture, language, geography and more! Led by experienced Chef Instructors, we ensure all allergies are accommodated, and recipes are always nut-free. Explore our weekly recipes and join us to WHIP up some culinary fun all year. Perfect for children of all ages! Recipe List/Calendar


Robotics and Coding (Grades K-5)

Dates: Apr 20th - June 8th (no programming 5/25) 7 weeks | Mondays 3:15-4:15pm |

Get ready to build, code, and create! The AI & Robotics Academy is thrilled to offer our hands-on Robotics & Coding after-school program this spring.

 

In this fun and interactive class, students will learn how to build their own robots from scratch. Once their machines are built, they will learn core coding concepts to bring them to life and make them move! This class is designed to help students develop problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity in a highly supportive environment.

 

Whether your child is a beginner or has built robots before, there is something exciting for everyone to learn!

Volleyball (Grades 3-5)

B&B Training Solutions After School Volleyball Program provides a dynamic and supportive environment for students to learn and improve their volleyball skills. Our program focuses on teaching fundamental techniques, teamwork, and game strategies through fun and engaging drills and matches. Whether beginners or experienced players, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their abilities, stay active, and build confidence on the court, all while enjoying the excitement of the game. Paper Making (Grades K-2)

Dates: April 7th - April 28th (No programming 4/14) 3 weeks | Tuesdays 3:15-4:15pm |

Fee: free, sponsored by PTSA (donations not required but accepted here)

Location: JME Art & Science Room

 

Students transform everyday paper into art while building fine-motor skills, creativity, and eco-friendly habits.

Week 1: Handmade paper using deckles & molds with two slurry choices.

Week 2: Build paper-mache bowls from recycled paper.

Week 3: Decorate bowls with napkins (no pain), make seed paper, and create a feature card from week 1 paper.

Comic Club (Grades 2-5)

Dates: May 5th - June 2 (No programming 5/26/26) 4 weeks | Tuesdays 3:15-4:15pm |

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new, 4 week student-led Comic Club in May! This club offers a creative space for students to come together and explore the world of visual storytelling.  Whether they are seasoned artists, aspiring writers, or simply fans of graphic novels, all students grades 2-5 are welcome to join!  Under the guidance of their peers, members have the opportunity to collaborate on original comic strips and character designs, discuss their favorite series of comics, and develop storytelling skills through drawing and narrative practice!  This club aims to foster a relaxed, inclusive environment where students can express their creativity and connect with others who share a love of comics.

Girls on the Run (Grades 3-5)

 

We were unable to recruit enough volunteer coaches for this session. If you have interest in helping this program come to fruition in a future session, please reach out to asp@muirptsa.org


Run, Jump, Score: Cross Country/Track/Flag Football (Grades 2-5)

 

Class cancelled due to low enrollment.


LEGO Robotics (Grades K-5)

Dates: Apr 23rd - June 4th (7 weeks) | Thursdays 3:15-4:15pm |

Spring into action for the quarter of build-learn-play LEGO fun! Join Bricks4Kidz LEGO jr. robotics building for Spring quarter with 7 classes of machine making fun. For returners, the Spring quarter brings new builds and adventures in energy/motion! These classes deliver play that's fun, educational and enriching for each child. We follow a seasonal or machine theme with guided instructions for kids to build a project with technic tools (gears, axles+), connect it to a motor and battery and watch their vision come to life in robot form. New builds for returners! Each child is checked out for each class the same kit to care for and only used by them for class while they learn, build and play! Kids take home an action figure. What better way to give kids hands-on fun while they learn practical ways to apply STEAM concepts?!

Piano (Grades K-5)

Dates: Apr 2nd - June 4th 8 weeks (skip Apr 16th and May 7th) | Thursdays 3:15-4:15pm |

Fee: $380

Location: JME Art/Science Room

 

Through New Bach Music School's Piano Class, students will learn essential skills including hand position, note reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and music theory. Students will also have the opportunity to learn and play a variety of fun songs, creating an engaging learning experience. Keyboards and headphones are provided, and each student will receive a lesson book. Upon completing the class, students will be awarded a New Bach Music School Certificate to celebrate their musical achievements.

 

For new students:

• The class serves as an introduction to classical music, with many families choosing it as a starting point before pursuing private lessons for long-term study.

• Builds a strong musical foundation before students move into band, orchestra, or choir in upper elementary or middle school.

 

 

For experienced students:

• Supports students returning to piano study after a break.

• Provides additional mentorship and artistic enrichment for students who are already taking private lessons. Calendar


Create. Explore. Inspire. -Color Theory (Grades K-5) 

Dates: Apr 3 - June 12th (no programming Apr 17th, May 22nd) 9 weeks | Fridays 3:15-4:20pm |

Fee: $252

Creart Studioz returns with new themes and projects. This session brings color theory to life through bold, joyful, and movement-inspired art projects. Young artists will explore how colors mix, contrast, and express emotion through hands-on creations inspired by artists like Basquiat and Chagall, imaginative shadow rooms, graphic album covers, piñata wall hangings, and Van Gogh–inspired printmaking. Using pastels, watercolor, clay, printmaking, collage, weaving and mixed media, students will build confidence while discovering how color transforms art and ideas. Calendar


Impromptu Speech (Grades K-5)

Dates: Apr 3 - June 12th (no programming Apr 17th, May 8th, May 22nd) 8 weeks | Fridays 3:15-4:15pm |

Everlove Academy is back to help students build confidence in thinking and speaking on the spot. No prior public speaking experience required. Through fun prompts and guided practice, students learn to organize their ideas, speak clearly, and express their thoughts with confidence. The class strengthens critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills in a supportive environment.  Calendar


Basketball (Grades 2-5)

B&B Training Solutions provides a wide variety of basketball training that is both fun and safe. We emphasize critical lessons in sports, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports through a game-based and fundamental curriculum. All while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. Players of any level are welcome! All of our coaches bring years of experience and success across multiple levels of play, including college and professionally in the Euro League. Calendar
