After-School Enrichment: Winter 2026

The Muir PTSA is excited to offer a variety of after-school programs this winter, designed to help students learn, explore, and have fun.

Enrollment Process

Each student may submit one entry for the early registration lottery. Entrants will be randomly selected to register for one class during the early access period Dec 8-9th. The goal is to increase equitability to access for these programs. All remaining seats after the early access window will be registered first come, first serve.

    

Important dates:

Dec 4th: Early access lottery closes online at 11:59pm.

Dec 8th: Links emailed for early registration.

Dec 10th: All remaining seats open for general registration on this page at 7am.

 

Registration is not complete until payment is processed through a vendor registration link. 

 

Program Fees & Support Options

• If your family needs financial assistance, you may request a scholarship on the early registration access form or please contact us at asp@muirptsa.org to discuss options.
• Each session needs one volunteer chaperone that often qualify for free tuition for their student based on the vendor for each program! To qualify, you must be an LWSD approved volunteer and a PTSA member.

Multi-Sport (Grades K-2)

Dates: Jan 12th - Mar 16th (no programming 1/19 and 2/16) 8 weeks | Mondays 3:15-4:15pm |

Fee: $170

Location: JME Gym

 

B&B Training Solutions Multi-Sport program is the perfect way for kids to stay active, build confidence, and have fun after school! Students rotate through a variety of sports including basketball, soccer, Pickleball, Badminton, and more. Each session focuses on developing fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a positive, encouraging environment. With experienced coaches, engaging activities, and a safe setting, our program keeps kids moving, learning, and loving every minute of after-school play! Calendar

Cooking (Grades K-5)

After School Enrichment Cooking Classes with Sticky Fingers Cooking®

It's THYME to TURNIP the BEET on what kids EAT! Our interactive classes make cooking fun and deliciously educational. Kids will enjoy tasty, healthy recipes while learning S.T.E.A.M., culture, language, geography and more! Led by experienced Chef Instructors, we ensure all allergies are accommodated, and recipes are always nut-free. AI Game Design (Grades 2-5)

Discover the future of tech with AI & Robotics Academy! Students are introduced to AI and machine learning as they design and develop their own video games. They'll learn to create characters, use variables and loops, and even program their games to be controlled by hand gestures! Calendar

Congressional Debate (Grades 3-5)

Dates: Jan 13th - Mar 24th (No programming Jan 27th) 10 weeks | Tuesdays 3:15-4:15pm |

Fee: $250

In this class by Everlove Academy, students will roleplay as Senators in Congress where they will debate legislation. Students will research and write their own bills and resolutions. They will
develop, organize, and deliver speeches to support or oppose them, ask questions, and vote
– just like real members of Congress. By the end of the class, the students will not only
develop key skills in debate, but they will have a greater understanding of the role of

LEGO Robotics (Grades K-5)

Dates: Jan 8th - Mar 12th (no programming Jan 29th and Feb 12th) 8 weeks | Thursdays 3:15-4:15pm |

Join Bricks4Kidz LEGO jr. robotics building for the winter session with 8 classes of snow machine adventures in energy/motion! These classes deliver play that's fun, educational and enriching for each child. We follow a seasonal or machine theme with guided instructions for kids to build a project with technic tools (gears, axles+), connect it to a motor and battery and watch their vision come to life in robot form. Each child is checked out for each class the same kit to care for and only used by them for class while they learn, build and play! Kids take home an action figure. What better way to give kids hands-on fun while they learn practical ways to apply STEAM concepts?! Calendar

Creart Studios returns with new themes and projects. This Winter kids dive into real materials—paint, clay, collage, printmaking, and textiles—while creating geometric animals, clay trolls, spooky charcoal houses, Rainier yarn paintings, comics, kinetic silhouettes, fauvist cityscapes, and bold portrait prints. We learn Northwest design principles respectfully (kids create original personal symbols) and focus on process over perfection, so artists build confidence and joy.

Serve, smash, and score! B&B Training Solutions Pickleball & Badminton program gives kids the chance to learn two fast-growing racquet sports in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Participants develop hand-eye coordination, agility, and teamwork while enjoying friendly games and skill-building activities. Perfect for beginners and experienced players alike, this combo program keeps kids active, engaged, and excited for after-school fun! Calendar

Chess Club (Grades 2-5)
